Our Mission / About the Brand & Founder

Mission Statement:

For years during my undergraduate years in college, I kept thinking about how not many younger folks can afford art in various forms and I wanted to change that. With the welcoming of PAINTD Designs, my mission was to diversify accessibility and ownership of the arts. I thoroughly have desired for my own art to be more accessible to many. My solution was simply to think in terms of fashion. Why not make art even more fun and modern equipped with fashion? It could be channeled through an immersive experience where the consumer or supporter of the brand may not take a physical painting of mine home, but they sure can add a couple of hoodies and t-shirts to their wardrobe to express their support for the arts and me specifically as an artist. I have executed the brand by having so much fun in the process with complete artistic liberation through creating the apparel line. Most of all, I never want anybody to feel left out or ashamed. Everybody deserves an equal opportunity at owning art and sharing it with the world around us proudly.

PAINTD is meant to be worn by everyone. This is a unisex, non-discriminatory brand that does not tolerate hatred, rather vouches for love and kindness.

About:

Founder of PAINTD Designs, Emily Cronin, is a modern artist who celebrates life with paint alongside various mediums and gratitude. Emily has suffered in many years of her life growing up amidst a toxic and dehumanizing home life, surviving multiple various traumas at very young ages up to her young twenties, and even almost losing her life in a serious accident in 2020. Luckily she survived and kept going. Even with an undetected dislocated wrist for two years from 2020-2022, she kept painting, even through the agonizing pain. Through it all she gravitated towards bountiful strength and all of its power to sustain her. She wanted to give up plenty of times but did not quit. Today, Emily happily engages in her businesses, designs for PAINTD, paints abstract paintings and portraits, performs live paintings for audiences, pushes boundaries by mixing art and fashion in new ways, writes for her community blog, "The Want" as well as inspirational pieces, and curates exhibitions to display her own art. Emily has chronic pain in her dominant hand and wrist but continues to fight onward for a happy, fulfilling, beautiful life. Nothing can stop this bad*ss woman. She proudly runs PAINTD and cannot wait to grow the business exponentially with her amazing supporters. No matter the pain or sorrow, she has kept her head up and is doing better than ever with a passionate love for life. This brand helps her enjoy life thoroughly and wake up each day with a beautiful purpose, so thanks to all who support it does not go unnoticed. PAINTD revenue will help Emily achieve her goal in owning her own studio space as well as a gallery that can support fellow artists in their careers.

In the near future Emily looks forward to releasing books about her personal struggles and gains from them as well as online support via recorded media for those who have battled or are battling depression, have been suicidal or are suicidal/feeling helpless/lonely, and/or have faced abuse in any form in their life.

PAINTD will work extremely hard to make sure that we contribute donations towards Suicide Prevention and Abusive Homes Help/Research Organizations. By supporting PAINTD, you can help a community of broken souls mend.
